3rd Party Testing

This option is for riders with experience looking for a 3rd party test (RST) for either the 2-wheel or 3-wheel endorsement. A valid motorcycle permit and access to a street-legal motorcycle is required.

M endorsement: Allows you to operate two-wheel and three-wheel motorcycles

3 endorsement: Allows you to operate only three-wheel motorcycles

If you are taking a course (BRC or BRC2) through Ace Rider Motorcycle School, the written and skills tests are included in your course. Please go to the course page for more information.

Gear/Clothing requirements at the time of testing:

Helment
Eye protection (can be helmet visor)
Gloves
Pants
Long-sleeved shirt
Closed-toe shoes

Documents/Paperwork required at the time of testing:

A valid motorcycle permit
Registration (including a license plate) for the motorcycle being used for testing
Motorcycle insurance for the motorcycle being used for testing
If you are using a motorcycle registered to someone else:
- A signed note permitting you to use the motorcycle will be required.
  - The note must include the following
    1. the registered owner's name
    2. The registered owner's driver's license number
    3. Explicit permission for the motorcycle to be used for a skills test
  - OR
    1. The registered owner (with a driver's license) can be present for the test.

Motorcycle requirements at the time of testing:

Ace Rider Motorcycle School does not provide motorcycles for the skills test. The testee needs to bring a street-legal motorcycle. In Colorado, as defined in the Colorado Roadworthy Motorcycle Checklist DR2686, a street-legal motorcycle must have the following items in WORKING condition:

Head Lamps
Tail Lamps and Reflectors
Stop Lamps
Brakes
Horn
Mufflers
Mirrors
DOT on-road use tires
